You can tell Adidas put a lot of heart into this final DFB collaboration. The EQT-style collar on the long-sleeve version is a brilliant retro touch. Up close, the engineered mesh has a subtle diamond texture that references the 2014 win. The gold stars with the winning years (54, 74, 90, 14) are perfectly embroidered.
Why 4 stars? First, the shipping packaging was a bit flimsy—the jersey arrived with some deep creases on the sleeves and the #8 nameplate that I had to carefully steam out. Second, the white "Sail" fabric is quite delicate; be careful around anything that might snag the mesh. Also, a big warning: do NOT machine wash this on a heavy cycle. Hand-wash cold only to preserve the tricolor graphics and Goretzka’s printing. It’s a high-maintenance piece of gear, but for a true supporter, it’s a masterpiece.
